St Vincent is 10 minutes by car from Redon, the nearest major town and on the busy D764 which runs from Malestroit to Redon.

The delight of the village is Ile aux Pies in the valley of the Oust.  It is a site of oustanding beauty with boating, rock climbing, walking, moutain biking and swimming.  There is also a restaurant at Ile aux Pies which has a good reputation.  The nearby Nantes Brest Canal has a lock system which is beautifully kept.

As in most French villages it is well equipped with three bars, a boulangerie and a church.  A pub called Rosbif run by English people is making a name for itself with take away meals and a Fish and Chip Restaurant.  They boast 29 different types of burgers as well as a regular fish and chip night.  The best for miles around, if not in Brittany.

The boulangerie used to be the best in the area but has lost its reputation in recent years.

The village has a large and modern decheterie for disposal of waste.  Users are required to sort waste materials into many different types.

There is a small mediateque and library.  A rather grand sports hall recently extended.

A new Mairie is in the course of construction, an ugly modern building which does little to enhance the centre of the village.
