Rieux is close to Redon and was formerly on the main road to Vannes but now it has been bypassed it is somewhat quieter. Rieux has a population of 2900. Saint Melaine Church has a particularly interesting tower and spire. There is also a chateau worth a visit. The name of the local primary school causes some amusement. A camping ground is nearby and a lovely riverside area. |
